The downfall of Voldemort came as a relief to all. Many had lost loved ones as he rose to power. No one could belief that the one to stop him was a child only a year old. Surely he must have powers far greater then any wizard could imagine. And his one boy changed the lives of many witches and wizards. Harry Potter, the son of Lily and James Potter was the one the prophecy spoke of. He was the one to stop the Dark Lord.
It all happened on the night of Halloween 1981, when the Dark Lord got the information about the Potter’s whereabouts. He stormed through their house showing no mercy as he killed James first and then went after Lily to get the boy. She fell lifelessly to the floor as Voldemort set his wand on the Harry after shouting the spell it rebounded on him. His body gone from the world.
The following morning word had hit the papers. Telling the story of the life and death of James and Lily Potter and what was to be of their son Harry. It was in the papers that the Snape family found word of friend Lily’s death. It hit hard for the both of them. Though they new this day would come…. They never expected it to be so soon. News came later from Dumbledore as he explained to the two of them the Lily had left them guardian to her son if something should happen to Sirius. With Sirius severing a life sentence, guardianship passed to the Snape’s. [/font] |
